A Taste of UMAMU – six of our current release wines


Stylistically we release our wines after they have had time to develop in the bottle.  So tannins are resolved and wines are beautifully in balance.  We have put together a mix of six of our current release wines for you to have a taste of UMAMU in your cellar.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 released in May 2017

Made from our 1978 & 1982 planted Cabernet Vines.  This wine has been recently featured in the Margaret River 50 year celebrations Masterclass in Singapore, Melbourne and Sydney.  Yum.

Mac’s Chardonnay 2010 released in February 2017

Mac’s Chardonnay is different to the red hallmark series Chardonnay produced by UMAMU.  This luscious bottle is especially unique and is close to our hearts.  It is named after UMAMU’s patriarch, Mac in celebration and appreciation of his journey and love for Chardonnay which led him to Margaret River, over 30 years ago. 

Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2010 released in February 2017

Shiraz 2009 released in July 2017

This is a gorgeous wine, a little leaner sister to the 2008 with 2009 being a slightly cooler season.  Our shiraz pairs well with foods with a slight spice to them such as a mild curry or chilli dish. 

Cabernet Merlot 2009
Gold medal China Wine & Spirit Awards 2015
Bordeaux Blend with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.  A delicious elegant wine with medium body.  Very easy to keep drinking this one.  Pairs well with Western or Eastern cuisine.

Sparkling Chardonnay 2005
Gold Award | Australian Sparkling Wine Show 2013 
Made in the same method as Champagne, this Sparkling has had 4.5 years on lees and drinks beautifully.  Bubbles are nicely refined.  This wine certainly Sparks a lot of attention at all the shows we have participated in this year, one of the favourites.
