'Deep crimson; expressive and complex Shiraz, relying on savoury nuances for intrigue; medium-bodied with red fruits, fine-grained and plentiful tannins and a long and fragrant finish: demands protein for maximum enjoyment.' James Halliday

The berries were sent whole to a combination of open and closed static fermentation tanks. The ferments were pressed off just before dryness; hence, the wine completed its primary fermentation in the oak barrels, adding some spiciness. The wine was then matured for 10 months in about one third new barrels, mainly from the Allier and Vosges forests.

Appearance: A deep garnet hue.

Nose: Ample intensity and warmth with mulberry & spice coming through.

Palate: Full body with ripe plum fruits, a variety of spices, fine grained tannins with generous length.
